On the afternoon of July 9, 2020, jointly organized by the Shanghai Civil Engineering Society and the Shanghai Academy of Construction Research Co., Ltd. A learning exchange meeting with the theme of "promoting the application of UHPC ultra-high performance concrete" and the "Working Meeting of the Engineering Materials Professional Committee of the Shanghai Civil Engineering Society in 2020" were held at the Shanghai Zhuoou headquarters. More than 20 representatives of enterprises and institutions from the R&D, design, production, construction and management personnel of the above-mentioned units attended the meeting and visited our demonstration samples. During the visit to our UHPC ultra-high performance concrete production workshop, all experts and participants showed a strong interest in our various UHPC samples and products, and experienced our UHPC integrated staircase,the stability of staircase is got full of praise by them; the UHPC ultra-high-performance concrete flower pot which on the side of the stairs also attracted everyone's attention. The flower pot is a facade element designed by French contemporary architect Jean Nouvel,for the Shanghai Hengji Xuhui Xintiandi project. And make full use of UHPC's ultra-high mechanical properties, decorative properties and durability characteristics, after completion, it will become a bright and beautiful scenery in the old city of Shanghai.
The conference was chaired by Yu Linfeng, deputy director of the Institute of Construction Materials and Solid Waste Utilization of the Shanghai Architectural Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. The meeting invited Fan Junjiang, senior engineer of Shanghai Architectural Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Jiuke Material Technology Co., Ltd. Vice President Ke Xiong, Chairman of Shanghai Zhuoou Liu Hui and Wang Junyan of Institute of Materials Science and Engineering of Tongji University respectively on "UHPC Standardization"、"Ultra High Concrete Building Exterior Wall Maintenance"、"UHPC component production" and "UHPC: Structure changes with‘new/core/heart'" shared the current development status of UHPC in their respective fields and the prospects for the future. Experts and representatives at the meeting had a heated discussion on this.
At the meeting, Mr. Liu Hui, chairman of Shanghai Zhuoou, shared the "UHPC component production",he focused on several important links of UHPC component mold making, precast mixing, pouring compaction, mold release maintenance, quality inspection packaging, etc.And combine intuitive experience of everyone visiting the site, concisely described the production process of UHPC components, which received the attention and affirmation of the participants.
Ye Guoqiang, deputy chairman and secretary general of the Shanghai Society of Civil Engineering, made a summary of the meeting. He emphasized the necessary to increase the promotion of UHPC ultra-high performance concrete, which cannot be separated from the basic research of universities and the application of design institutes and research institutes.
